After 22 days, it has finally rained. I can't believe after such a wet rainy summer that the last days of summer were so dry. Not complaining though, it was cool and dry most of the time. Great summer indeed.

Phil Kessel is a Leaf! I can't belief Burke was able to pull this off. Is it a good trade? Time will tell. I think it is. Kessel is young and had a great last year. Let's see if he can do it again this year.

The NHL's recent bid for the Phoenix Coyotes just goes to show that this is all about not giving Balsille a franchise. The Leafs should realize that this would probably be good for them in the long run.

So Jim Balsillie's bid for the Phoenix Coyotes is allowed to be presented with the rest of the bids during bankruptcy hearings. The dream is still alive to have another franchise in Ontario. Woot! Still don't agree with how Balsillie played this but maybe he had no choice.

The strike is over?! Maybe? This definitely has become the year for strikes in Toronto. Lots of angry people on both sides. Definitely misplayed by the city and by the union. Bad news to all I think.

I didn't realize that Etobicoke has private garbage collection. That makes things a lot less smelly around these parts. Though I think my apartment building had private garbage collection anyways (like most apartment buildings).

Went to go see UP in the theatres on Friday. It was surprisingly entertaining. We saw it in 3D and I must say, the 3D stuff is pretty wicked nowadays.
